ADD YOUR VOICE
ECW is committed to elevating the voice and image of education and care practitioners. Through the combined contribution of our members, Professional Practitioner Bodies and Professional Practice Reference Body, we provide advocacy, exposure and opportunities for the education and care workforce to share their knowledge, skills and practice wisdom. This open cooperation builds individual and collective knowledge and capacity of practitioners. Together, we are working towards a future where education and care practitioners are recognised, valued and acknowledged as professionals.
There is already a lot of great work happening in the Education and Care field. We would like to draw your attention to some of the current campaigns other organisations working in the Education and Care space are running.
Campaign overviews

The Early Learning Everyone Benefits campaign acknowledges that education and care practitioners understand the benefits of quality early learning better than anyone and also how vital quality early learning is for the optimal development of children.
You will find communication tools and language on their site to assist you to share why early learning is so beneficial—for children, families, whole communities and the nation.
There are three things you can do to show your support for Quality Early Learning:
- Like their Facebook page to stay up to date with the campaign
- Download a copy of the State of Early Learning in Australia Report to get all the facts on the importance of early learning.
- View the videos on the campaign website and share with your colleagues and community to raise awareness of the importance of investing in quality early learning.

All Victorian children deserve affordable, high-quality preschool programs. We know that this makes a significant difference to their early development, and helps set positive foundations that extend well into their adult life.
Protect Our Preschools calls for proper investment into early childhood education, now and into the future.

The gender pay gap has grown in the past decade. Working in a female dominated sector like ours, early childhood education and care, means that we’re some of the lowest paid professionals in Australia.
