Wendy Shepherd is the Director/Lecturer of Mia Mia Child and Family Study Centre Department of Educational Studies (formerly the Institute of Early Childhood) Faculty of Human Sciences Macquarie University. Prior to establishing and directing Mia Mia, Wendy has been a K-2 teacher, preschool teacher/director and a consultant.

The role of the Director of the Child and Family Study Centre includes working as a lecturer in the undergraduate and postgraduate early childhood education teaching degree.
